Guest guest
Dear Shaunah, Thanks for sharing your history, sure makes sense what you said. What is a fast rate? I bet there is no reference chart for fast and slow growing fibroid tumors. My OB said the tumor is not malignant, and the chance of cancer would be less than 1/2 of 1% to occur. He checked my uterus and pelvic area, and said it was in good shape. Still, he recommended that I needed to have a hsyt, but leave the ovaries for hormone function. I asked him about myos. His answer was to have a hyst because the uterus has no function after child bearing but the ovaries do. He added that myos were more invasive surgically than a vaginal hsyt. From what I'm reading, the uterus functions all throughout a woman's life. Blessings and prayers on your myo in June. From what I'm reading, that's the way to go. Dr. Indman in CA was doing a myo on a 58 year old woman. Sounded like the 58 year old woman wanted to keep her uterus. Kay
