Is anyone happy??

Is there anyone that is happy with the results they have had post

hysterectomy?? I am still considering the surgery and I don't hear

much positive feedback.

I get the impression that many women in this group have chosen not to have

a hysterectomy, so there aren't many members who can give you their

perspective about it. Also, a lot of women in this group seem to stop

participating after they've had their procedure done (whether it's a

hysterecomy, myo, or whatever). I suggest trying the Hystersisters.com

message boards as well:

While I went in for a myomectomy and came out with a hysterectomy, I

can honestly say I am in a better place than I was before. It is

such a relief not to have to worry about bleeding episodess, painful

periods, and a totally degraded quality of life. I was able to keep

my ovaries so no need for hormone replacement. All that being said,

I would encourage you to look at all of your options. Every

procedure be it myo, UFE, or hysterectomy have their pros and cons.

It is a personal choice of course....just make a well informed

decision and know that there are other options that allow you to keep

your uterus (of course everyones situation is different).
