Guest guest
Before diagnosis you wonder about various causes of your symptoms. Once you know it's fibroids (or whatever)and that you have some of the classic fibroid symptoms, you stop thinking so much about other possible causes and solutions. You CAN conceivably still have one or more of your symptoms after whatever treatment approach you have. Please give some thought occasionally to other possible factors that exacerbate the problem, or may have even caused it. Here are some off the cuff examples of what I mean. If you have back ache, do check your posture, ways of doing exercise and heavy lifting at work, bedsprings, chairs and car seat. If you have upset digestion, do think about food allergies, poor diet, and times and sizes of meals. If you have painful sex, do consider latex and other allergies, dryness, etc. if you feel tired all the time, is over- work and worry adding to it? Are you getting enough rest (as well as checking for anaemia etc. with the doctor), could small changes in diet help to ease your period-related symptoms? You could probably think of some better possibles, but the point is something dumb and easily put right might make all the difference to how you feel. In other news....I am fine myself. Congratulations everyone who has just come out of hospital recently and best wishes anyone due to have a procedure/operation. Aztek
