Guest guest
I really don't know how new ones grew so fast. I think that's why we need to have more research. My doc's reasoning (maybe thinking out loud, he was clearly questioning this himself) is that it was in the wall of the uterus and it pushed through. I would hope that the ultrasound would have shown that it was in there the last time. Maybe my hormones (being in perimenopause) are driving it, that is why we need to find an answer. The surgery was a hysterosopic myo and the fibroids were on the rear wall of the uterus. This one is near the same position but a bit higher. I thank Carla for this group and her persistence in knowing and finding answers to this frustrating tumor. And hopefully that this research will one day help to find a way to PREVENT them from occuring. My mind is working overtime with tumors lately (duh..)and a question has popped into my mind. Do any of the women on this list suffer from fatty cysts in their breasts? I'm wondering this because I have a problem with this also. I had to have two removed (one 6cm the other 5cm) in the same breast about 6 years ago around the same time I started having changes in my period. Two years ago I had a mammogram and have two more in my other breast. I know there are women here who have spoke of having breast cancer. These are just (as fibroids) non cancerous cysts that grow or not and become uncomfortable. The 1st " group " started out as one pea size back in 1981. It grew to be 6cm with a 5cm cyst underneath it and was uncomfortable to the point I had to have it removed. So (phewwwwwww) the question is, have any of the women on the list encountered the same thing? Thank you again . I know we started in the group around the same time and I'm so glad your surgery went so well. Diane P --- " B.
