Hi,

I recently got back onboard. I've been one of those who has few

symptons and looking for the right treatment. My last study shows my

uterus measures 9.4cm in longitudinal dimension and 7cm in AP

dimension. There are multiple fundic fibroids detected. The largest

fibroid measures 7.4cm within the fundus. There is a 6.1 cm fundic

fibroid detected in addition. Multiple smaller fibroids were detected

through the myometrium. The ovaries were never visualized on

transabdominal endovaginal scanning. The endometrium is thickened and

measures 1.3cm in widest dimension.

Well I've experienced some back pain more recently and continue with

frequent urination getting up at least once a night. Besides a

bigger, bloated stomach (appear 12 weeks) my periods are normal and

no bleeding in between. I remember reading a message from who

was going to be going in to do the Focused Ultrasound Surgery earlier

this year and was wondering how she got along? Has anyone else gone

through the procedure? Does this procedure eliminate or just shrink

the fibroids. Is it over time? How long were you in the hospital and

what was recovery time? Is this still in the research/trial period.

Is anyone familiar with any Drs who perform it accept at the Woman's

Hospital in Boston. I've emailed and called them but no return phone

call or email to communicate. Thanks for your suggestions and

information.

Janie
