Guest guest
Hi andra, I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed several years ago - 2 were impacted, 2 weren't. I had them done in the oral surgeon's office. They gave me laughing gas to start, then an injection into an IV - I literally was totally out of it before the Dr. finished the injection! When I came to, I was very groggy but in no pain. I slept in the backseat of the car the whole way home. The Dr. gave me an injection of long acting novacane that didn't wear off until the next morning. He also gave me pain pills which I never needed to use. I may have been unusual but I didn't have any pain afterward. When I went in the next week to have the stitches out I told him that it was so much easier than expected. I have also had an emergency c/section and ab myo, both under general anesthesia. Athough I had good experiences with both of those, the wisdom teeth was by far the easiest. You will be fine with local anesthetic - you shouldn't feel or remember anything. As with any surgery, the anticipation is really the worst part. Good luck to you & try not to worry too much!! ~Cindy
Guest guest
Hi andra I underwent two procedures for wisdom teeth. Both times done under local in the dentists office. the last two were impacted so it took a bit longer but I felt no pain. If your dentist is not one that has " modernized " his/her office, you may want to bring a headset with you. The worst thing about the dentist is the sound. Good Luck --- laskarina2000 alexandra.pappou@...> wrote: > Does anyone have any experience with impacted > teeth???
