Thanks so much, Pam ********************* I had fibroid embo done March 2003. Everything went like clockwork except the doctor could only embolize the right side artery as the left one was too small and wouldn't accept the particles. I felt much better in the summer, periods were less, urinating was normal and my belly had shrunk. In August symptoms returned and when I had my MRI in September, I was told the fibroid had not shrunk at all. The doctor thought maybe the left hand side artery had opened up and had started feeding the fibroid again or the embo had not been successful at all. I disgreed with this as I had the cramping and all the side effects in March plus the less bulky feeling during the summer. He suggested coming back and he would do it again if indeed the left side had re-opened. My question: Has any one else had this experience? Has anyone else had the embo done twice and had success?
