Guest guest
Hi Amy, If you are bleeding heavy, check for anemia. Alternative therapies have no scientific valification that they work for fibroids. It will depend on your symptoms on when you want to get them treated. You may be able to consider UAE. Just keep doing research and ask questions. Ku deliriouseve Rev_Huxley@...> wrote: Hello! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Amy and I'm 25. I discovered recently that I have fibroids. The largest one is 9cm (a sad time for my 13cm uterus, heh). My doctor recommended a myomectomy, but I'm considering alternative therapies first. Any advice for the newbie? Thanks for your time! Guest guest
Hi Amy, Welcome to the group. Have you been doing any reading on fibroids? I'm 25 as well, (26 on Friday), diagonsed in November, and I am not considering a myomectomy as of yet because I'm too young, with no children and unwed. I'm very afraid of the things that can go wrong and how evasive type action can hurt my uterine lining (scarring)and in actuality reduce if not eliminate my chances of having children. Right now I'm just eating more high fiber foods and green leafy veggies. I also workout,(I'm thin to begin with). I listen to relaxation cds and meditate as well. I'm waiting for my gyn to give me a referral so I can get accupunture. Are your fibroids affecting you in a negative way or are they just there hanging around doing nothing? Have a great day -Shaunah My name is Amy and I'm 25. I discovered recently that I have fibroids. The largest one is 9cm (a sad time for my 13cm uterus, heh).
