Guest guest Posted January 27, 2004 Report Share Posted January 27, 2004 Hello everyone, I was told a week and a half ago that I have 3 small fibroids (2.0x2.4x1.6, 1.5x1.1x1.6, & .8x.7x.5cm). I have been reading posts in this group for about a week now, and have been reading up on the subject, and it seems like a lot of you have fibroids much bigger than mine. Can anyone tell me how long they have had theirs and what was the length of time between being diagnosed, and when they became too much of a problem? In other words, how fast did yours grow? The only reason I found out I had mine was because I had gone in for my yearly and mentioned that, for the last 3 months, my periods were heavier than normal and a couple of months before that, they started coming earlier. The doctor asked if I wanted an ultrasound; I said, sure, might as well put my mind at ease. I just wonder now how much bigger they would have been the next time I visited the doctor had I not had an ultrasound. Just wanting some input.
