Hi ladies,

I'm going to post this message on EMBO group, too. Sorry if you read

my same messages...

Sometimes I read your post with tears what we all have to gothrough...

Myo to D&C to UAE to Hysteroscopic surgery! My life in past 2 months

is on a roller coaster.

After Ultrasound result, first gyno doctor suggested to do myo,

second gyno doctor suggested D&C and watch and wait. Both doctors are

against UAE. Iwent to IR for consultation for UAE, he said my case is good

candidate for UAE. He suggested to do MRI before UAE. After MRI result, he

called

tellingme that submucolfibroid (2.5 cm) has a stalk and UAE is not a good

option.

Even I do UAE, I may need another surgery like D&C after UAE. He suggested to do

hysteroscopic surgery by gynodoctor. I met third gyno doctor last week with all

of

my result. She agreed Ishould do hysteroscopic surgery, but she doesn't do this

kind

of surgery.

She recommended another gyno doctor who is experienced

withHysteroscopic

surgery. Now, I am going to meet this doctor to talk about surgery

soon.

I have a few fibroids (1cm to 4cm, in Ultrasound result says 7 plus

small ones, MRI said 3 plus number of small ones) and my symptons are

heavy bleeding, pain and clots. A few times in last year, I soaked my pants

and hadembarrasing experiences.

I posted last month about my new diagnosis and my concerns. I was

ready to go for UAE after I met IR. Now, I am going to hysteroscopic

surgery.

I researched this surgery and I basically understand what

theprocedure is. I'll be removing one submucol fibroid. The rest of fibroids

will be

remain as they are. Doctor warned me that they may grow.

Is there anyone who had this surgery tell me how long the recovery

time will be? 3 days? 1 week? Doctor told me only a few days. I have

to plan my work schedule...

Also, I greatly appreciate if you tell me your experience and any

suggestions about hysteroscopic surgery.

Thank you.

WJ

My recovery from hysteroscopic surgery was about 12 hours. My

surgery was about 9am and I was home from the hospital at noon. I

didn't need to take any pain meds after I left the hospital. Good

luck!
