hello all

i just had a meeting with my doctor, yesterday. i knew what she was going to

say, that, i need a hysterectomy, but, it still, only yesterday, became very

real for me. after i got home, i cried.

anyway, i have several large ones, basically, through the wall of the uterus,

and, well, i need to schedule surgery..........

anyway, i am going to talk with my sister, and, then, with a gal that i met from

this group! we are going to share our experiences.

i definitely get the impression, that, well, guys really don't get it. anyway,

my guy, lives in another town, and, well, i don't know if he will be here, for

the surgery, as he works so much, but, that is another story.

Patty, have you checked into all your obtions here? Of course the

docs want you to have a hysterectomy! Thats the 1st thing they

say! What are your symtoms? Have you looked into myo or UFE?

Just because one doctor says that you " need " a hysterectomy doesn't

mean that you do. It could be that your doctor doesn't feel

comfortable doing any other procedure. There are women on this list

who have had myomectomies for multiple large fibroids. Please

educate yourself on ALL of your options before making such a final

decision.

Patty...you must now do your homework and research everything. Do not

just tacitly obey. Many women on this board were told the same thing.
