Thank you, Sandy. Could you please pass on the stuff you've read that say

it's bad? I have googled a lot and haven't found anything bad about Splenda,

but plenty of bad things (who knows?) about all the others. I was hoping

Splenda was a no-worry sweetener! I only use it in coffee, but did try it in a

pie/cheesecake thing for Christmas.

**sigh** no such thing as a worry free anything anymore!

Hi a,

I have read some books regarding general health as well as diabetes and

articles on the web(taken with a grain of salt) that state that stevia or

xylitol are better substitutes than splenda. Some actually say Splenda is

quite bad for you. Splenda tastes great, no carbs and tons of people are

using it so it is just a personal thing with me. It is processed with

chlorine from what I've read - which I know is bad for you. I am sure in

small doses, it is just fine but I am reluctant to bake with gobs of it

frequently. I had heard that liquid stevia can actually lower your BS - but

certain brands of stevia have a yucky aftertaste.

What issues do you have with Splenda in the small amounts you use? Just

curious.
