She works as a partner in an Internal Medicine office but she told me she'd actually studied endocrinology (a word I never seem to spell the same way twice). When I got home and looked at the blood work sheet she'd given me I saw that she asked for some of the same tests my " official " endocrinologist gave to me. So I can't have that. SHE'S for primary care and it's fine that she knows about diabetes and thyroid things, but .... ---------- IMHO, it sounds more like you no longer need your endocrinologist. I have an internal medicine man that takes good care of my diabetes and primary care. He goes overboard on the labs, testing my a1c, cholesterol, and my thyroid on a regular basis. He then goes over all the numbers with me and gives me a copy. He also has my blood pressure under excellent control. I'd hate to add more doctors to handle each of these separately. He does refer to other docs such as skin cancer specialists and foot doctors though.
