Two Fearless Moms Strike Again Raleigh/Durham, NC Two Moms, now deemed as " Thelma and Louise " are at it again. Medlin of Cary and Amy Carson of Asheville continue on with their awareness campaign that has gotten the attention of people countrywide. Local Mom Medlin and friend Amy Carson are parents of children who received neurodevelopmental disabilities from a mercury- based preservative, Thimerosal, in their vaccines. They have started a very unique awareness campaign using billboards to send out a very important message. Instead of asking for traditional Christmas presents, and Amy told family members and friends they would like to have a billboard for Christmas. They are now ringing in the New Year with their third " Christmas billboard " which has just gone up in the Raleigh/Durham area. Thimerosal has been a subject of great debate among thousands of parents of injured children, the medical community, and government agencies. Thimerosal is 49.6% mercury, and is used as a preservative in many childhood vaccines and the flu shot. Absorbed through the muscle tissue when injected via the vaccine, the mercury is absorbed by the body at a much greater rate than when ingested. Government agencies like the CDC would like you to believe that injected mercury is not dangerous, while the EPA put out reports stating that eating tuna, and other fish is detrimental to one's health due to mercury levels. A definite disconnect between the two agencies. The Homeland Security Bill once held a provision that protected Eli- Lilly, the maker of Thimerosal, from liability of all injuries received from Thimerosal. While this was trying to be put into affect, the Bush Administration asked that all records in the Federal Court of Claims related to Thimerosal, be sealed from the public. What were they trying to hide if the use of Thimerosal was as safe as the CDC said it was? This billboard takes aim at the dangers of mercury in the flu shot and vaccines. and Amy feel that most people are not aware that they contain mercury. That is why they are compelled to give others the information they did not receive, that could have changed their whole lives. " How can the CDC continue denying children in the U.S. their basic right of living without fear of harm and continue allowing ethyl mercury to be pumped into them everyday via vaccines? If parents check package inserts they will see that mercury (Thimerosal) is still in vaccines. Mercury is more toxic than lead and we know the dangers of lead. So why are we still injecting vaccines containing mercury (Thimerosal), a known neurotoxin, into children? " states . " I am tired of all the cover-up and lies. It is time the truth be known to all.
