Hi!

I have 2 boys ages 6 and 3.

6 yr old has Asperger's/ADHD/ODD/tics and poss. JRA

3 yr old has PDD/ADHD/ODD

My husband has PDD and ADHD on his side, none on mine. I can't help that

with my history and his genes together created our boys problems...

I have been double vaccinated in my life b/c school lost immunization

records and forced to get them all repeated at the age of 12. I suffered

with severe migraines following that and ever since then.

It was discovered during early school years age 5 that I am blind in 1 eye

which I would not be surprised is linked to the before school vaccinations,

I have severe Fibromyalgia, muscle spasms, hyper & hypothyroidism,

peripheral neuropathy, possible neutrophilia-dr ordered repeat blood work,

degenerative disc disease, several herniated discs w/o accident or injury to

my spine, and have had many problems while breastfeeding like mastitis, even

had a lump removed last year that was cultered and had a bacteria in in

called " acinobacter baumanii " .

My former home of 8 yrs had been positive for unusually high levels of toxic

molds; Aspergillus, Cladisporium, Paecilomyces, Penicillium, Moniliacceae,

Epicoccum.

The house was on a bay where the tide brought water into our home. I was

also exposed during the remediation process to ensure it was done properly.

I also broke numerous mercury thermometers while shaking them down in the

same room as both children before I learned of the dangers-ignorantly wiped

up, even vacuumed spillage, apparently releasing more into the air.

My husband worked for an environmental division where he was exposed to high

levels of Mercury (and I visited) although he feels he wasn't affected. My

illnesses did not come on until 6 mos after our marriage. (no pun intended)

I've been to several dr's for my condition but none will even hear my

theory on the vax.

My boys were vaxed until I became aware and will have to battle it out with

the school districts when they realize how behind they are on their vax,

that's how it works in my state, religious and medical excempts only, no dr

will sign off for med exempt (perhaps DAN! dr will?) and so I will have to

go before each principle and request a religious vax exemption. (they r not

supposed to ask what religion by law)

They take several meds including ADDERAL XR, RISPERDAL, CLONIDINE, ZOLOFT

and they are both on the FEINGOLD diet since august.

My 6 yr old's school has suggested that if he has another violent outbreak

that they will call me, then an ambulance to have him admitted to a

psychiatric hosp for eval over a period of days with med adjustments, etc.

(Usually he runs b/c of a smell or noise and gets violent when someone tries

to ouch him, restrain him, etc.)

I found a DAN! dr. they are extremely expensive and cannot afford it for

myself at this time b/c I am bringing both of my boys there for the first

time this week.

I was wondering if there was any advice as to what to ask them for first,

what I can do perhaps on my own for myself, and if anyone has had a good

result with their ASD child using a DAN! dr.

the first appointment consists of meeting with the physicians' asst for

60-90 mins each, their blood drawn, then meeting with a nutritionist to get

started until the labs send back their results which then they will make

adjustments....

I want to make the most of this appt as I don't know how often we'll be able

to get there, I borrowed against my life insurance to get my boys into this

office as I am really hopeful that these dr.'s will listen and not rule out

my opinions. The reason why I'm saying that is to explain how desperate I am

to get to the root cause and stop increasing their meds that don't really

help in the first place.

Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

I think you are taking the right steps by getting involved with this group.

Following Andy's protocol, I am finally getting better from some pretty

severe mercury poisoning. I almost died.

SOunds to me like you already know what is at the bottom of a lot, if nopt

all of your problems.

WHereas I can not help you with the DAN doctor, I would simply suggest you

stay real close and connected to this group and follow what people are doing

and suggesting, and START ALL OF YOU CHELATING.

Even if they try to ask at the school, who cares about what they may think

of your " religious preferences " and the reasons behind them.... JUST DO IT!

You are fighting for your kids' very wqellbeing and/or survival here.

Another big thing I have learned is NOT to bother trying to convince people

and doctors that do not want to be convinced. It just saps your energy and

wastes precious time, meanwhile causing one to doubt oneself. Very sad, but

true.

thank you Inga. I am going to dedicate every minute I can to reading all the

great info on this list. As for the school, yes that's what I have to do and

hopefully they will comply, I gread the day simply out of fear they won't.

The doctors told me it was THE LAW when they insisted on vaccinating and

refused to give single dose vaccinations, I did find one that will do MMR

for my 3 yr old in seperate doses, but first I'm going to educate myself as

to whether he needs it or not.

maybe -- and there are a few " enlightened " doctors around---

probably worth keeping an ear to the ground -- and do a little

networking when you can....

I hope you have checked the laws in your state. Again, support

groups in your area can be VERY helpful.

Check with autism groups, anti-vaccine parents groups, etc.

(Ask if you need help finding some).

That does not sound like his school is providing an adequate

environment for him. I'm sorry I don't know more about what

steps you need to take to address this situation.......

Many people have had good results. Others have not.

There is a lot you can do on your own if you have some

time and energy, and the enthusiasm for it.

For you, a big issue is whether you have any amalgam/silver

fillings. If so, you cannot do any mercury detox on yourself

until you have these fillings replaced. So it can be a

big issue.

Thank you! I ordered 2 books today, 1 being Andy's of course. I can't wait

to read it to understand better.

I had a satisfying meeting w/my sons school district and they are going to

make the changes needed and are apparently educating themselves on

Asperger's in an enormous way! -no more hospital talk-they 'get it' now that

the rages come from the sensory issues.

As for the Dan dr. I am getting conflicting opinions between Andy's protocol

and theirs. I am veering more towards Andy's as I did not give them the DMSA

challenge test today like I was going to the way the doc recommended.

anyway, I just wanted to say thank you. The links were great too.
