Yes, they do, however, I only eat half a portion which the exchange

serving size lists. I also only eat that one starch for instance I

would eat a 2 egg omelete with cheese and spinach along with the peas.

I feel lucky I can eat at least this as there are many other things

others can eat I cannot. Anything with vinegar which is supposed to

make one's BG go down makes me go very high. I agree a good reason for

using a meter. I feel like this gives us such freedom and knowledge.

Meters are great if you know what to look for. I've been able to fit in

higher gylcemic index items by using smaller portions. I only do that if

the food is healthy though not junk stuff.
