Guest guest
I wanted to know if anyone had ideas for what might be going on and if a supplement they tried worked...my son sometimes when in an different situation or in a social skills group seems to get keyed up and can't pull himself back when he needs too...he gets over stimulated and once it reaches a certain level, he can't dial it down and in the case of a social skills group because disruptive because he thinks he is being funny or entertaining...it becomes hard for him to follow the rules...they is one game they were trying to play that my son and I play at home so he knows the rules and how to play but when he was in the group he seemed like another boy...he was throwing the balls and would laugh because he thought it was funny but it's disruptive to the session...any ideas ? thanks
Guest guest
I am currently investigating my son's similar problems, and what I have read so far says it could be adrenal problems - low stress tolerance. Could it also be the case with your child? Guest guest
I was thinking it might be but about 5-6 months ago I started giving him an adrenal cortex extract because he did seem to have a problem handling stress and because all of his hair previous hair tests showed high sodium and potassium and I never could seem to get it down and didn't know why they were high...then I saw Andy's post for high sodium and potassium and started giving him 250 mg of cortex and it did help him deal with stress better and the hair test I did 2-3 months after starting showed the sodium and potassium down...I was thinking I might have to give more of it but I've only seen posts from people that are only giving 250mg so I thought I might be over doing it if I increase...that's why I figured I post to the board first for suggestions... > I am currently investigating my son's similar problems, and what I have read > so far says it could be adrenal problems - low stress tolerance. Guest guest
Vitamin C helps with stress. Glycine or Inositol can help with anxiety. Omega 3 fish oil helps with attention, and well and magnesium/B6 and zinc. A diet free of additives, artificial, preser4vatives, dyes, and corn syrup has also been proven to help. -GA [ ] over-stimulated - ideas ? > I wanted to know if anyone had ideas for what might be going on and > if a supplement they tried worked...my son sometimes when in an > different situation or in a social skills group seems to get keyed up > and can't pull himself back when he needs too...he gets over > stimulated and once it reaches a certain level, he can't dial it down > and in the case of a social skills group because disruptive because > he thinks he is being funny or entertaining...it becomes hard for him > to follow the rules...they is one game they were trying to play that > my son and I play at home so he knows the rules and how to play but > when he was in the group he seemed like another boy...he was throwing > the balls and would laugh because he thought it was funny but it's > disruptive to the session...any ideas ? thanks > > > > > ======================================================= >
