The reason my son is on it is because he is autistic and needed speech therapy, OT and PT and ABA therapy and most ins. do not cover extra therapy once a child is in school..because it is the school's responsibility to provide the necessary therapies...if my son got all the therpy he neede in school he would never be in class he would always be in OT, PT or speech. I find it outrageous that some states don't offer medical with SSI. Thanks for informing of that...Because I lived in Wisc for 2 yrs and SSI was run just like it is in MA and so is NH and VT because I have good friends with children who are on SSI there.
