Guest guest
Wow! I am rooting for you guys every step of the way! Elaine, your boundaries sound great! Jean, may God give me the wisdom and humor to accept things the way you do! PJ, about that kid who broke up your puzzle. When my kids were small, a child of a friend (about 5 at the time, and there were a lot of weird things going on in that family, too) deliberately and viciously broke something in our home. I remember it distinctly, and I remember thinking he had a tough life ahead of him. Sure enough, he was arrested for robbery at the age of 16 -- on the campus of the school where his father worked. There is a lot of anger and lack of control behind that sort of behavior. I'm sorry for your puzzle, but I hope someone wakes up to that little boy's problems. He's obviously screaming for help. My daughter has been home for a few weeks now. She's calmed down, but also starting to feel antsy. She wants to get moving and get better, but she's still fighting the demons in her head, I can tell. It reminds me of a baby almost. They can be sunny and pleasant during the day, but get tired and cranky by dinner time -- you just want to keep them on an even keel until bed time. Things are starting to get moving after the New Year and we're looking for a therapist who can specifically address bpd and also a doctor who can give us the right medication to give her some mental balance to work from.
