Sent my MRI to Hopskins about three or four years ago and they said that I didn't have Chiari. Still have all my symptoms though, constant headaches. Now my left leg is giving away on me and is painful and have had a recent MRI of my lumbar spine and it looks like to me I have a syrinx. Is it possible to have a syrinx of the lumbar spine? Guest guest Posted November 21, 2002 Report Share Posted November 21, 2002 Hi, I am the one that thought that I had a syrinx because of what I saw on the lumbar MRI. Ask the Dr. what that broad white line that followed my spine was and he said it was my spinal cord. So much for my reading of MRI's. Too bad that I couldn't have surgery by Dr. Rosner before they are getting ready to shut him down. Think the surgery would help even though I don't have a herniation but instead believe that I could have the possible tight foreman magnum. So much trouble in so many areas for so long. Take Care, H.
