Guest guest
(((Kerry and cindi and Ladies-All,))) Thank you! That's much more practical than what I had in mind., Kerry. I printed the " good read " to read in bed. Last question is a plain aspirin ok to take with low thyroid, like this? The high BP has given me a low headache. ....C >I think for now, taking some deep breaths, drink some good water and have a >good night's >sleep, or as best you can will help. Then, make a fresh start >in the morning. Kerry
Guest guest
I don't take anything. I am probably alive because I'm good at going against medical advice to take all their patent-medicines. (Long line of stubborn, mothers, grandmothers.) Thanks for everything! I'm feeling rebellious and reckless (not really) so I took one raw (bovine) glandular from premier labs that has 50mg thyroid, 20mg adrenal, 10mg pituitary, 5mg thymus, 5mg spleen, 300mg kelp. (Even if it's just a placebo that helps me not be afraid of heart failure while sleep it's ok.) And one regular aspirin. Oh, and 3mg of melatonin. And a big glass of water, which just made me thirsty for another... Happy wedding plans, Kerry. You're going to have to fill me in... ....C I have been overloaded with wedding planning/ travel plans today! Kerry

Guest guest
ahhh, another 'rebel'. :-) , if I'd listened to all the endo's, and pcp's I've been to, I'd have already lost my job which I'll be celebrating my 6 yr anniversary there next month. I feel better than I have in years, and I'm now 50 yrs old and starting to feel alive again. I have had problems for years, but didn't know how to address thyroid issues. After all, the dr's have degrees and I didn't, right? lol. That only came to be when I chucked out the suggestions to take T4 supplements, while one dr said I didn't need them, even though the symptoms were there. Pfffft! it is so much easier for these dr's to just 'assume' that nothing is wrong with us other than we are middle aged, nearing middle age, and it surely must be our female hormones, or depression. They love to write off those things to other things when it's not that hard to consider that thyroid is an issue for people like me who had a problem. My own pcp told me my symptoms were thyroid related, or so they seemed, yet wouldn't run the TSH which he said he would, once I left the office? He hated having to admit later that he was busted when I saw the labs and what he said he'd test wasn't even there? Talk about fast talking, his nurse was good, but not good enough to get by me. His exact words were: I honestly didn't think you had a thyroid problem. I guess it was easier to think I sat on my duff all day long, and then sat on it at night, and ate candy 24/7? lol. I have really learned to dislike all dr's since this journey started in 2001. I take what I need and I don't depend on a dr. They aren't looking out for my best interest. That I'm sure of. Maybe one day I'll find somebody with some 'snap' about thyroid disease and antibodies, but for now, I'm gonna wing it along like I've done since May of 2004 when I was hypo and could get 'NO RELIEF'. Like somebody once told me, " not all dr's can graduate at the top of their class' and I found 3 of them right here in Houston, Tx. lol. They won't make anymore money off of me ever again.
