Guest guest
I use stevia. It is an all-natural herb. The powder form is crushed dried leaves of the plant. The liquid form is often dissolved in glycerin. It can be tricky to use at first so you may need to do a few practice runs, but once you get used to it, it works quite well. Find it at the health food store. It is not standardized so you must add it to taste, a drop or two at a time. It will gradually get sweeter until you add too much, then it will have a bitter aftertaste. When baking, add a little more than you think you will need, as baking will take the edge off it. You could also try one of the newer sugar alcohols, if she tolerates them. These will also be found in a health food store. They are highly processed and refined, and have no nutritional value, but they are all natural. The common side effect is diarrhea. Maltitol is supposed to be the safest if you can find it. I sometimes use stevia and then a bit of the sugar alcohol to get it " sweet enough " for the kids. I strongly advise against using something like Splenda or aspartame/nutrasweet. I'm happy to talk more with you about this privately if you like. thebyks@... -Sara.

Guest guest
Hey thanks for wishing my sweet cayla a happy birthday, and thanks for all the great ideas on cakes. I went ahead and just purchased a cookie mix from kirkmans that is sugar free. She won't know the difference. Thanks for the help!!! Rochelle Re: [ ] Off topic.... Guest guest
We like almond " milk " and filbert " milk " available in HFS. Brown rice syrup or maple syrup work as sugar substitute for some. S Hey everyone my daughter cayla's second birthday is on the 22nd and I
need to know what to do for a birthday cake.
