You know, I truly believe that if I would have married the way my life was

before, I would have ended in divorce. Now that I am FINALLY getting my life in

better order and myself all together, I feel that the chances of me being a

better woman to myself, my kids, and my future mate will be greater. Especially

when it is a two way street. You have to be careful.

Even though I have had some rough roads in the love department, I learned so

much from each situation and do not regret any of it. I took a chance and it was

worth it really. I know it will never be a perfect situation.

I agree that it is sad that people take marriage so lightly. If many would

actually see marriage as serious as it should be, there wouldn't be such a high

rate in my opinion. And no, I don't mean this in all situations. Marriage is

taken more lightly though, it's truly sad.

, these are some very imporant goals and I can say first hand that the

first time you go and play with your daughter and can run around with her is

going to be such a wonderful milestone in this journey. I stopped taking a book

to read at the park, I am too busy running my kids raggid and enjoying them now.

I thought we did this poll before Christmas?

Anyway, I want to be able to get my surgery as soon as possible.

I want to get healthier and have a better quality of life

I want the courage to accept my body as it is, right now (before

surgery)

I hope to learn not to have a fear of mirrors and cameras anymore

I plan to stay here as you all are my " rock " and I need that

I wish for everyone waiting to have surgery in 2007, the best of luck

and hugs to them because this won't be easy!

Hugs,

Cathy

I'm sorry to hear that. Even though I'm getting a divorce, there is no animosity

or fighting. My husband has TBI and he's a completely different person. If I met

him now, we probably wouldn't even be friends, and even he can admit that. I'm

not afraid of marraige, I'd do it again and plan to do it again in a heartbeat.

I'm dating someone now who is getting pretty serious, that's one of the reasons

I have to make sure I finish the paperwork. When you're not angry and yelling

and screaming it's easy to put the papers aside until whenever. Well, whenever

has arrived and I really have to focus on accomplishing this goal. Not meant to

frighten you, just part of my life. You know, if you close yourself off to the

pain of being in a relationship, you also close yourself off to the joys of

being in a relationship. Nothing worth having is easy. Isn't that part of this

wls journey?

My resolution is to work out a doable exercise plan and stick to it. I want to

exercise twice a day. 30 minutes on my home gym doing weight training and then

30 to 60 minutes exercising outsie. Now that will be either walking, bike riding

or running. Once a month I am also going to do line dancing. I am also going to

look into playing netball every week on a team.

Now is that to much for my resolution? I don't think so and I know it is

achievable.

First get healthy with my surgery. Walk the halls good and plenty

from the minute they let me up. Drink the water and go through each

stage without too much whinning.

Then begin each exercise level as the doctor lets me until I've worked

up to going to a gym 3 days a week. The other 3 using some of my

tapes and my treadmill at home.

And to look so D^%$ good by Sept or OCt, that my husband doesn't even

recognize me.

My resolution is to run in the 5K http://www.53riverbankrun.com/ I'd

like to complete it in 30 minutes but I'd settle for 45. I really

just want a Tshirt.

, making them achievable is really important though. We have to know our

limits otherwise we will discourage ourselves if we aim to high. We don't have

to take it all in one sitting, thats why the smaller goals are so much more

important. Great goals.
