Hi Shauna,

I set up my account to chat, and I entered the chat room but it

wouldn't let me chat (type text). Just wandering if i may have done

something wrong? I could also see others in the room but couldn't

communicate.

umm... no... I tried to do yahoo chat, but they are doing work on it right now

and no rooms can be created till they are done... I will then try to create one

so that it will be easier to use for everyone and more people can log in too.

chat room like we can our board... I just had a guy come in and ask me if I was

a big girl. I don't want us being harrassed. I wonder if we can monitor on

Hey kids, I've been in the room but have gone on to do other things

and yet I've left the java applet up and running. Here's the deal. If

you get into the room you can click the little musical note(s) icon

and send a sound to everyone. That would alert me that someone is in

the room and I'd go back to chat. I'd suggest something loud/long for

a song. Maybe the truck engine starting or something.

Are you guys in the right room? I've been in the room since about 8pm

and have scrolled back. It's got the " has joined " and " has left " and

there's NO perv names having had joined or left, let alone conversed.

There are conversations from people who I wish I'd talked with, sorry

about that, but really I've not seen this stuff. I'll keep the applet

running on my PC as my PC is on all the time. Maybe if you can tell

me what time this sort of stuff occurs.

In fact we can actually capture the room's conversations/log. I've

truncated it a bit and not included things that people might not want

See, again, this leads me to believe you've entered a different chat

room. One that is sort of the parent room or the demo room where

everyone comes to test or as default.

Now that doesn't really help in getting into the " correct room " or

whatever. While I am a pretty good nerd I don't really do well when I

can't connect/take over the machine that's having the problem. Maybe

I could setup some remote control for one of you that are

experiencing this to see what's going on. Not that I'd really know

because this isn't something I've got a huge amount of experience

with. Then again I am the web conferencing administrator where I

work. You'd think I'd be able to at least pretend right?
