Guest guest
Cindy, If specifically his right foot is always coming out of the shoe and never the left, then likely there is a problem with it where it is either not quite fully corrected or it is atypical and he can wiggle it in an unusual way to get it out. There is also some possibility that the shoe is just not on good enough, but I would think the other foot would come out sometimes if that were the case. The easiest way to find out if there is a problem with the correction is to take photos and send them to Dr Ponseti. Take pictures of him " standing " bearing weight on his feet, of the front, back and sides of the feet, and of the bottoms, too. In the mean time, you can find a " troubleshooting " file in the files section on what to do with escape artists! Angel Garrett --14 week old Garrett is 14 weeks now and we are striving to keep on his DBB most of the day but we are not successful...often when he wakes at night I find him out on his right side...during the day his right comes out however less frequently than before. I am very concerned he will relapse... I understand after 2-3 months we will transition to nap and night wear only ...what determines when we decrease his time in the DBB and what do I look for in terms of relapse....He does not see his orthopedist till mid May....thanks for your input..Cindy
