Oh Dear M.!,

Wow!!! What an event you went through!...again!!! You certainly do have a guardian angel (with a somewhat warped sense of humor I might add!) I'm soooooo glad to hear that things are ticking correctly now!!! I'll keep praying for you our friend!!!

I called in on Dec 28th the day I should have my pacemaker checked they told me the pacer was battery down in the hold pattern. Which should last three months. My date to visit the clinic was Jan 3rd. WQell Jan 1 I felt like I was on my own my body panted hard worked hard but could not pump the blood thus my heart beat stopped and I almost fainted. I decided to wait and see if it did it again and it did. I got that feeling like it was my last breath. We called the ask a nurse at Mayo she said go to nearest hospital. We debated the nearest hospital is the one that put the wire thru the tricuspid valve that cause me to have to undergo a second open heart surgery. So we risked it and drove 2.5 hrs north to Mayo Rochester ER I went in they took my stats took me back and I sat there for an hr my heart was mostly behaving. the last thing to do before sending me on the road home again was to check the pacemaker. I told them I had a saint Jude but I didn’t I had a pacecetter. So she had to go get the other unit to check it. She put the magnet on me and walked over to sit down at the computer to turn it on and wham another arrhythmia and end of life pacer could not take care of it. So I flat lined in the ER since I am totally reliant on the pacer to keep me alive. They shocked me with the shocking paddles which felt like someone beating me up three times. they put a temp pacemaker in my neck and hooked me to a computer, left me in the ICU for a couple days to stabilize and then they put a new pacemaker in me. I had an 8 beat run of V tac so they debated toi use the guardiant or the ICD. With the ICD they would have taken my drivers liscense away.l.. Mind you I am driving a brand new Porsche boxter S ,I just got last summer but is stored from winter salt and snow. For now I am up and running again ansd fine and alive!!! Thank Goodness I keep falling thru the cracks of the health care system,
