Guest guest
Danyelle, Some do, some don't. It's easiest to check with your insurance company. Someone here has the procedure code for it. Hugs, Vicki TL 1998 TR 8-11-

Guest guest
Not sure if you were asking me this question or not. : ) Our insurance covers the shoes and the bar together, but doesn't cover just the shoes. There's a different code for the shoes and the bar together, versus just the shoes. The main thing was getting a letter from our doctor that stated he needed the larger sized shoes and that they were going on the bar. I guess hubby wrote his own letter as well, but he did all that at work so I haven't seen any of them. I can find out though if you need me to. and BCF 03/25/2004 DBB 23/7 Re: Insurance > My insurance co. will not pay for shoes either...Just > wondering what your letter to the insurance co. said...I > might give it a try also... > Thanks for any help > > > 5/10/03 bcf > treated by Dr. Herzenberg > --------------------------------------------------------------------- > Web mail provided by NuNet, Inc. Guest guest
hi katie my insurance covered 90% of the lap, hyst and resection - that's how my plan works - i usually pay 10% of whatever i had to make sure though that the dr i was seeing was 'in network' - had i chose an 'out of network' dr my out of pocket expense would have gone up considerably ... maybe you can ask your dr for the procedures' codes and then talk to your insurance and see how much they cover .... i did that just to have an idea of how much i was going to spend good luck gabi
