Guest guest
I don't know if Everett should wear them to nap or not. He naps about twice a day, only for maybe 30 minutes, I'm not sure the hassle would be worth any gain there. Any suggestions? s. Re: Potty Training & DBB/FAB I should've clarified, that I have only been putting it on that late (after going to sleep) now that she's older, probably quite a bit older than most here. I didn't do it when she was younger. She always got the 12 hour minimum at least -- and before that the 14-16, and the 16-18, etc. -- and always wore it during naps when she was of napping age. We're at the point now where she could be out of it entirely, but are continuing to be on the safe side a little while longer, since she doesn't resist and I don't mind it either. > I'm just curious, those of you who put the bar on after they're asleep, how many hours do they end up wearing it? I aim for a solid 13 hours, hopefully 14 but I won't go below 13 so I put it on him at 7 pm after his bath and take it off at 8 or 9 the next day. If it were strictly his sleeping hours he wouldn't get enough hours in the bar. > s. > >
Guest guest
The apple jack trick is cute! Well - adding to your family, consider it may take a few months to conceive, then another nine months of gestation, so you could theoretically have another year to accomplish your goal! s. Re: Potty Training & DBB/FAB I deffinalty think he is ready and shows all of the signs. I do the reward thing, he could careless about stickers so I usually give him pennies for his bank or a food reward like fruit snacks or peanut mm's. I really can't do the naked thing because I'm at work the whole day, I could do it partially on weekends but with errands, etc I would just be able to do it a little and we just had brand new carpets put down in our play/family room and in our computer/lounge room so I really want them to stay nice. I usually keep his little potty downstairs while we are down there in the living room where we still have old carpet, but I really think it would be hard to limit him to that room if I took his cloths off. He deffialty know's when he has to do #2, and has done it successfully on potty a few times...He just hasn't done #1 on potty yeat at all, I have tried putting apple jack's in it to let him go on them for fun, I told him he could shoot them like he shoots things with his water gun (I couldn't think of a good example!!!!) I'm not sure if he know's when he has to #1, but with #2 he always announces it no matter where we are or who is around. My goal was to potty train Collin before we add to our family (& loose the 35 pounds I've put on since October...scary huh??? I'm at the same weight as the day I gave birth to Collin...I lost it all but gained it all back, you will be able to see once I post the syopsism photo, then look at our website at the photos!)
