Yes Mike~ You are so right! My short (and long) term memory is pretty impaired these days and I totally spaced about the restraint of trade issue. The malpractice insurance company that I worked for is totally owned by the practitioners and low and behold ... the Trust DID NOT insure Chiropractors but does, of course insure DO's. You make a fine point ... there are not too many people who are not " in the business " who even cared enough to follow that whole mess. I am glad you bring it up. Standard of care (don't get me going on that right now!) is NEVER in the forefront ... business is business no matter if the business is saving/keeping lives. Been in a working relationship with health care professionals for over 20 years and that has never changed no matter how much propaganda out there tries to spout. That is why.... I AM SUCH AN ADVOCATE of the patient taking on the aggressive roll in the creation and maintenance of the physician/patient/staff relationship. The patient is the only one ... in the end ... that will not flake out on the patient! Debbi PS... HAPPY SUNDAY everybody!
