Guest guest
That is the kind of attitude that causes us to go for years before we get the proper dx!!!!!!!! I’m glad you told him off! From: Jerri Sent: Wednesday, May 19, 2004 8:12 PM I mentioned to my previous OBGYN that he might be interested in learning more (possibly taking some classes) on Lupus. His response was " I'm an OBGYN, what do I need to know about Lupus? " Do I need to remind you I said " previous OBGYN " . Man I went off on him. I told him because you treat women, some of which never see another doctor ever - but do make their loyal pap visit. Also, this is a disease that is heavily concentrated on females. And most importantly because you have at least one patient that has Lupus and needs to be treated...then I retracted my statement and told him he just lost one Lupus patient. I was moving on to some one who gave a damn about his patients enough to actually learn how to help with what ails them or at least enough to recognized the disease and refer them elsewhere... Geez....all that education sure does come with a huge ego! I'm so glad you have a caring doctor. Hang on to him!
