Well, I had the mri of my knee (both are bad but we picked the worst on that

day). It only showed thinning under the patella and a cyst that has been

getting bigger. If I didn't have so much pain from them both, I would almost

feel

sorry for the doctor. She is trying sohard to figure out why it hurts so badly

where it does (medially at a wierd spot on both of them) and to figure out

what to do about it.She totally changed my pt, took me out of the pool and is

doing all sorts of modalities. Then ,if there is not improvement, she's

mentioned

having someone else look at it and/or scope it. They have been working up to

this bad state for a long long time. I don't think I could possibly make it

around a grocery store any more. It hurts too much just to stand or walk

around my house. I did have some steroid injection into it a year or so ago and

after the terrible pain for the first three days, it really helped. She doesn't

want to inject it becauuse she isn't sure why she would be doing it.

I also got the MRI of my lower spine courtsey of the recent NIH study two

weeks ago. I have a couple of herniations and bulges and lots of DDD and bad

facet joints . Every level was affected. I knew my back hurt a lot but everyone

complains of back pain. Because there is some weakness in my legs and feet, the

doctor wants me to watch it ,keeps trying to strengthen it and get either a

facet injection or some other kind of shot. When I walk I get a pain where mmy

legs join my body but the pt feels that is from the si joint going out.

The doctor spent so mmuch time with me I have a hard time putting together

everything she said. I think she is having a hard time with me but she is

trying!
