Apple pectin/malic acid (available at HFS) chelates aluminum

SAMe chelates antimony (also at HFS, supplment B's if using this)

DMSA chelates lead (available through mail order)

Consider reducing/eliminating any sources of exposure if you haven't/aren't

already.

Hello

My child has terrible pica, which I think is responsible for the

elevated lead.

>>What srot of things does he eat? When Sam has bacterial gut issues he

likes to eat cardboard. He too has always mouthed, pica when younger

particualrly

soils, he has high Lead too :(

These days I use the carboard/paper eating as a sign to ncrease gut bug

measures.

Why did you suggest only one weekend a month for DMSA what dosage for

a 58 pound, 6 year old?

>>>Andys doseage recommnedations are 1/8 - 1/2 mg per pound of child per

dose given 4 hourly for 3 days. 60 pounder would start at 7.5 - 10mg per dose

(you need to divide the capsules up). I started with 12.5mg and worked up to

25mg per dose for my then 60 pounder.

he is suggesting one weekend per month I think because lead is slow to

remove, stores in the bones and can;t be sorted quickly. We're still at in 2.5

later :)

Lead is sometimes a lot higher than the hair levels indicate too.

DMSA one weekend a month.

Dear Andy,

My child has terrible pica, which I think is responsible for the

elevated lead.

Do you think if I chelated for mercury using TD-dmps, the pica

would resolve and then I add DMSA to take care of the lead already

present in his system.

Why did you suggest only one weekend a month for DMSA what dosage for

a 58 pound, 6 year old?

Many thanks
