Guest guest Posted May 11, 2004 Report Share Posted May 11, 2004 , We first contacted Dr. Ponseti and he told us about Dr. Colburn. We have Kaiser and saw Dr. Holcomb (sp?). He only did surgery and didn't believe in the Ponseti method. We found out that had clubfeet at my 20 week sonogram so we had time to research. I met with San Diego Kaiser doctors Shoemaker and Holcomb. I had also been told about Dr. Mubarak at Childrens. The Ponseti method seemed new and they all were willing to experiment on my son, but we were unwilling to be their first patient. Dr. Colburn's office is very close to family we have in Alamo so we flew up weekly and stayed overnight with them. Dr. Ponseti was visiting and assisted Dr. Colburn the day had his Tenotomy.
