Guest guest
Ed, I think that I need to correct you so other's have the correct info and say it was the ball (cap) and not the cup that was loose on me (caused by the development of AVN under the cap. The pain that radiated down my leg into my shin was horrible. My doc said that the pain could have come from the back or the hip and that the cortisol shot was a way of figuring out where the pain came from. I received total relief one day from that shot ( not even having those horrible standing up pains) He decided from this outcome that the pain was coming from the hip. He was right. No more shin pain or stabbing pain anymore since my revision last week.I woke up and that pain was gone. I can tell you from experience that shin pain can be caused by the hip. Not sure how, just know that it can. Jan aka Wannie << Even though Wannie's situation (below) was different some of her symptoms sound so similar to mine that I wonder if her " loose hip cup " was causing problems in her back area. >>
