Guest guest
Well congratulations. I am so happy for you. I am almost comfortable with myself. I should loose about 9 more to really get there. 5-7 will make me happy. Most of us try to convince ourselves that it is not important how we look. I do not agree. I do not care what other people look like, I won't judge them by their looks. It's a different story when it comes to me. It gives me great comfort when I can look in a mirror and be comfortable about what I look like. I do give myself some slack. When I was on extended prednisone I knew no matter what I did I wouldn't be able to remain the way I was. Still, I tried all possible not to gain too much. And I'm happy about it. It's generally hard work to loose some weight, the more you put on the harder it is to get it off. Same with pregnancy. As far as eating extra calories of my kids plates. Gosh, that is one of the first lessons I have learned in Weight Watchers. The lady convinced me that the food I eat of their plate won't feed any hungry kids in the world. It might as well be wasted instead of making me miserable. When I started counting points, eating my kid's leftovers amounted to a full meal. I'm done with that. I don't like to throw out food, so I try to make sure their portions are kid's portions. If still they don't finish up it's in the garbage can. They have to throw it out so I won't be tempted. It also takes a while to stay away from all the snacks at home. Chips, pretzels, popcorn, etc. I make sure I have a full fridge of veggies I can always " pick on " .
