Guest guest
i just wanted to welcome you and say what a wonderful grandmother you are for helping out your daughter. when our son was born with bilateral CF (to our surprise this NEVER showed up on any of our 10- 15 ultrasounds) we were completely shocked. if it was not for the hard work and love of my mother in law, we never would have known about Dr. Ponseti and this wonderful group. you've already received some wonderful information and i hope your grandson does well. most doctors in the medical field think they are all knowing and do not like to be questioned on anything, but we must be advocates for our little babies and go with our guts. i disagreed with a doctor we saw for follow-up after we returned home from iowa because he did not fully practice Dr. Ponseti's protocol (he was learning) and thankfully he told me he never argues with the mother (unless she's WAY off!) because mothers know their babies better than anyone else and we know when something is wrong...i think this applies to grandma's too! i hope you are able to get your grandson in as soon as possible, much progress can be lost in a single day! best wishes, Tia Kelby 8-3-01 bilateral
