And when hasn't it been influenced? I was connected to medical research for a

while -- the high point being the Texas-funded Dept. of

Neuropsychopharmacology. As far as I could see even then, most research HAD to

take into account

political pressures, or there would be no funding. BTW, the Texas Research

Institute for Mental Sceinces of which the Dept. of Neuropsychopharmacology was

part, no longer exists...in large part because of political pressures. I imagine

even Hippocrates had to deal with politicians....
