Guest guest
Hi all- I'm having surgery (right basilar thumb reconstruction) this Thursday and actually glad I am. (can't believe I'm saying that!) The left thumb had it done 12 months ago. If any of you have a chance, I really would appreciate prayers and thoughts.... It tires me out having a 3rd surgery in this short of time. And knowing it's a block again....ouch! (If he wants a block, I'd better be out for that, 'cause last time I wasn't--oh my gosh PAIN!) -shoulder kept subluxing; and he kept loosing my pulse because of thoracic outlet syndrome.) This afternoon the lab called with results from this mornings blood work. The sodium and chloride are low *again*. It must be lower than any other time, because he's having me hold the indapamide AND eat more salt and drink less fluids until the lab work is done again in two weeks. Usually it's just the latter that needs to be done. I don't care that much for salty foods-so I don't look forward to this.... I haven't even noticed anything different. At least I know about it before surgery! CindyH Wisc.
