Guest guest
Hi all, Well, it is amazing about what will finally happen that can result in weight lost. After decades of trying to lose my excess weight [was 190 - 215 in 1999. Was 190 in 2003]. I now weight about 180 lb. But, that is still too much for my 5' 4 " height. I always weighed heavy. I do not look heavy. Well, I am now more active than ever. What with the meals on wheels I have a very balanced diet with no desire to cook. So, I expect to loose even more weight. I am now down to a size 14. If I keep this up I might even reach my old size of 12. But here is my new problem. The more weight I lose the skinnier my legs and the looser my skin. Grrrrr. As I lose weight my skin is more EDS like and softer. I call it squishy. I was use to my soft skin going back to it original shape but with this new EXTRA weight loss I have something new happening. My face has changed. On wake up, I am not puffy but my face is a little to one side. Yet on standing and by the time I walk around and look in the bathroom mirror my face looks okay. Typically my stretchy skin areas were only my ankles, wrists and flexible ankles and knees. Now I find I can stretch out my cheeks and jowls. All a normal part of normal aging maybe, but on me it has suddenly shown up in the two months. So, just to make sure < >, any EDS exercises out there? I am prepared that I will need to increase my exercise in general. But this face drop thing is weird. Or, perhaps just normal for EDSers losing weight. At times, rather than looking younger I appear to be looking younger. My own bane of looking younger than my years is coming back. Finally, I want to get in the best physical shape that I can considering the hints of surgery last December 2003 with reference to my then seen incisional hernia. Bottom-line, with my new level of exercise I feel good. Caro.
