Guest guest
Hey Everyone . . . has anyone out there ever had Scabies? Last summer I thought I had a reaction to some insecticide but my dr diagnosed Scabies. Drove me crazy with itching and I had to treat it with ne. Very toxic. I know now I already had lupus but wasn't close to a diagnosis yet so my immune system was already compromised. A woman at work had it and was getting no treatment so I must have picked it up from her. Although it's one of those things that is everywhere in the air, not everyone, or even nearly everyone gets it. It's a microscopic mite that burrows under the skin (this is gross) and leaves raised itchy bumps. The same mite that causes mange in dogs (isn't this just peachy!). It's come back three different times since last summer and I've about had it. There's a ton of information online but I'm wondering if anyone knows of a treatment other than ne? It strikes mostly babies and oldies. I'm the oldie. I'm finding I'm a lot more vulnerable than I ever dreamed, as are all of us who are battling lupus. Thanks for any suggstions anyone may have. Love, C.
