Guest guest
Dear . . . . sounds as if you have a really nice family with your devoted life partner and two good kids. Your mother has some serious problems as you've mentioned, and she obviously is not well. You handle it well even though there's a hole in your life, but you move forward despite dealing with this crazy disease. This is good! Keep it up! North Carolina is a beautiful state. I've only been there once but I loved it. I have a close friend who lives in Tryon. Are you anywhere near there? I think it's not far from Asheville if I remember correctly. My grandson (12) takes tae kwan do and spends a lot of time acting like he doesn't like it (wants to be " cool " ), but when he goes (I've gone with him a couple times when visiting) I notice he does well and gets into it. Whatever the third belt color is, is the one he has. Is that purple? Can't remember. I've just been diagnosed (Mar 22) but suspected lupus for months before that. Just didn't want to face it. My mother died of lupus years ago and then it was considered fatal and, for her, it was. But now the treatment is much, much better and there is a lot of light at the end of the tunnel. Good support groups too. So keep hanging in there. Lots of love, C.
