I know exactly what you mean Jo it isn't that you aren't grateful for

those who help out and drive you around but being able to drive

yourself is INDEPENDANCE the ability to go where you want, when you

want regardless of ANYONE else with a car and chair etc with the

necessary modifications this is a real possibility

For me the only modifications I have (SO FAR) is that I am only

allowed to drive an Automatic and I have an electronic spinner knob

on th esteering wheel which is a little tiny wheel that clips into

the steering wheel so that you can legally drive one handed and mine

also has the indicators etc on it, so that I can legally drive with

ust my stronger left arm and without using my weaker left leg.

I know that in the future I will most likely need more modifications

to keep my independance and when the time comes I will be there ASAP

to keep my independance.
