Has anyone been hit by a flying can?

A very happy New Year to everyone!

I just wondered whether anyone else has such dramatic problems with

their autistic child throwing (sometimes heavy) objects? The behaviour of my

seven-year-old, non-verbal autistic son, , has deteriorated

alarmingly in recent months. He has now taken to throwing anything he can

get hold of - apparently, to show his frustration at not being able to

express his needs.

Today, during a shopping expedition to the supermarket, he began

throwing objects out of the trolley, including cans. Has anyone out there

actually been hit by a can? What happens?! Also, what if the can hits

another shopper quietly going about his or her business? Could that shopper

legally sue?

Finally, does anyone have any ideas as to what to do to stop an autistic

child throwing objects?

Anyway, season's greetings once again - any advice would be much

appreciated.
