Hi all,

Well it's been awhile since I have come on to this group. Life has

been busy, I'm thankful for the good and sometimes overwhelmed by the

not so good....but I guess that's life. Looking at this list there

are so many new people and new lives touched by new starts that it's

a little overwhelming. Some of you may remember me, two years post

op, construction site supervisor and horse farmer. Back in the saddle

4 months post op, back on site 3 months post op. Found it hard to

regain the full momentum of my life since....other hip is breaking

down and some sciatic issues the new one. I live in Ottawa Canada

and this year I have found the cold overwhelming. I have made some

changes, now work at Home Depot at the PRO desk so I am no longer

climbing around construction sites, this is good. Regular pay cheque

and a medical plan....reassuring. I am have problems on really cold

days with my operated hip locking up. It is strange, I can't decide

if it is something wrong with the sciatic nerve, a ligament issue or

if my new hip is malfunctioning. I think I now know what an old car

feels like when it's cold out. Is it possible for the prothesis to

get sticky when it's cold.....it snaps when its cold.....it's not an

issue when I am dressed in snow pants, however I can't wear them to

work. I wonder if I am going nuts...anyone else out there in

the " sticky " cold?
