Guest guest
Hi all, I'm just resending this email since I don't know if it went thru the first time or not...that was a couple of weeks ago and I haven't heard anything back...not to nag or anything. *grin* Kassia mommy to 3/22/01 (Lt clubfoot, will have ATTT surg 4/27/04) and 11/22/02 --- Re: Re: age of relapse Date: Mon, 12 Apr 2004 10:24:59 -0500 To: nosurgery4clubfoot References: c5d74f+ikih (AT) eGroups (DOT) com> Ok...I'm trying to figure out what the " best " mode of treatment will be for Jake. According to what Dr Dietz said, when the child relapses at over 3 yrs of age, it's better to do the ATTT surgery. After reading 's link, Dr Ponseti agrees with this. My question is, after ATTT surgery, do the kids need the dbb anymore? According to Dr Ponseti's article in 's link, the child could still relapse after ATTT surg and need further surgeries. Obviously I'd like to avoid this possibility...so is it worth it to keep Jake in the dbb after his surgery? (of course he'd need new larger shoes and a longer bar...his current set-up is way to small for him now) I'll ask Dr Dietz at our pre-op appt in a couple weeks, but I was wondering if anyone here had any opinions. Thanks, Kassia mommy to 3/22/01 (Lt club foot, ATTT surg 4/27/04) and 11/22/
