I went to see one for an opinion and he told me to wait as long as possible for a THR. But what about the resurface option? My worry is that I will wait too long and someone will say " too bad you didn't come sooner. " I am 52 years old and have a 10% lateral movement; more vertical. I am on max dose of Bextra but no pain medication and I can still walk without a cane for long didtances as long as there are not a lot of steps or hills. Certain movements are very painful but not a constant pain. I feel like I am wasting some good years not being able to do things I like to do, but when I read about THR I don't see where I would be able to do much more.
