Guest guest
Hi Mike! Just wanted to make a small correction if I may! " The chondromalcia patella syndrome you mention just means an improperly tracking knee cap " *****'Chondromalacia patellae' actually refers to the softening of the articular cartiledge on the underside of the kneecap. The damage of the cartiledge is graded in grades 1 to 4. Patello femoral syndrome on the other hand ('PFS' for short) aka anterior knee pain syndrome aka maltracking patella refer to disruption, subluxation, and or dislocation of the knee cap in the patellofemoral joint. I'd love to learn more about techniques to manage chondro myself! And from my HMS and EDS 3 reading I've done it seems like its something a lot of us tend to have... Take care Mike! Thanks again for all your help in exploring alternatives! I love my Gach accupressure book! -Rhea

Thanks again for all your help in exploring > alternatives! I love my Gach accupressure book! ------------------ You are absolutely correct with the more detailed explanation. (Every once in awhile I do remember what Cindy told me in Detroit and try to cut back on some of the technical language...especially with newbies so I don't scare them away). As for self-management, the best I have found so far seems to be doing the Polarity X technique through the knee cap. If you have been playing around with Gach and can sense the energy now, you would have no problem at all doing the X. Take your fingers and poke all the way around the knee looking for tender spots. Take the one that is most tender and put the tips of the middle fingers of your strong hand right on it. Put the tips of the middle fingers of your other hand directly opposite. Then hold until you feel an energetic balance. Once you do, poke and prod around for another tender spot and repeat it. Repeat it until you have covered all of the tender spots. If your hands seem to want to go someplace else, let them. Don't me surprised if you suddenly feel moved to have one hand on your knee and the other up at your hip or down at your ankle. If you do, go with it because your body is telling you what it wants and needs.
