Guest guest
Hi all, We saw Dr Herzenberg again today! Was able to really wash 's little leg and foot and even managed to snap a few pictures before he came in to do the new cast. Her foot is now able to externally rotate to 45 degrees!! It has never been able to turn out that far! The medial crease seemed to be more noticible again this week. Wish I had pictures from last time to compare. Maybe I thought it looked better last time than it actually did. I uploaded the pics from today to my computer at home and put them side by side with pictures taken 2 days before the first cast and I am not seeing the differences on screen that I felt I was seeing in person The one thing I can see is that her foot is straighter than before -- it doesn't have the " natural " turning in. I am wondering if anyone knows about these point assignments given to different aspects of the foot, such as 1 point for the medial crease, 1/2 point for the talus, etc??? What is the point range and why do they do it? We go back this Friday for cast #4 because Dr. H is headed to Nicaragua (I think) for 2 weeks and he wants to see her again before he goes. His partner Dr Lamm will see her on the 6th -- I like him, he is very personable and gentle with ! Oh, I have to share some happy mommy news totally off subject LOL! has finally stopped nursing in the middle of the night!!! YIPPEEE!! I am by no means looking to wean her completely yet but the every 2-3 hours at night was killing me -- she is 10 1/2 months! I think the mommy guilt of dealing with all the foot stuff let me let her do it this long. We had one rough night but it has been much better. She still cries out a few times but if I go to her and give her a kiss and lay her back down, she goes right out. I'll work on that step in a wee or so Marilouise , LCF, cast#3/2nd series Owen and 3/20/
