I hadn't thought of that - if you can't get the sucker to relax and stretch, just sit on it and flatten it out. As for the energy aspect, no, I haven't tried that particular technique for the Psoas. On the other hand, I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't work. I have been able to get other muscles to release with energy so I don't know why the Psoas would be any different.
