In what part of Texas are you? I live in South Texas.

I had tears in my eyes when I read about how much you'd like a little

dog. And then I had to do some serious thinking. I've decided.

I have a little dog I would be willing to give you since I know she

would be loved and cherished. Her name is Lizzie and she's my sweet

girl but I suspect she would love to be an " only dog. "

I got her from our animal shelter when she was only 3 weeks old. LOL,

I had stopped by there to donate some supplies and the director was

telling me about a litter of puppies someone had left on their

doorstep. They were sickly and two had already died. Lizzie and her

brother were left and she already had a cough. I adopted her so she'd

have a chance. She was SOOOOOO tiny and sickly -- in intensive care

once when she went into respiratory arrest. But I nursed her back to

health and for the past year and a half, she's been healthy and happy.

She's a sweet little girl -- very calm. She's housetrained but loves

to play outside a lot. She looks exactly like a yellow Lab, but she's

small -- less than 20 pounds, about the size of a larger chihuahua.

She's up-to-date on all of her shots and she's spayed. She's about 2

1/2 years old.

I wasn't looking to give her away or sell her. But your story touched

me and if you'd like to have her, I would be willing to give her to

you. She's calm and sweet and sometimes has to hide from my other big

dogs because they constantly want to play with her! I think she'd

like to be an only dog with a quieter life.

Please let me know. I'm off from school all summer (after Monday) and

since you're in Texas, we could probably work out something regarding

transportation.
